Part of our complete guide: All 45 Nice Classification Classes Explained
Building and construction services fall under Class 37, the class covering construction, repair, and installation work — the same class as vehicle repair and servicing.
Why real estate developers often need two classes, not one
A property developer that builds and then sells or leases its own projects is technically operating across two distinct services: the construction work itself (Class 37), and the sale, rental, or management of the finished property (Class 36, the same class covering real estate services generally). It's a common gap for developer brands to register only one of the two, leaving half the business unprotected under the same name.
Where construction companies often need a further class
A construction firm that also offers architectural or interior design planning, rather than only the physical building work, would need Class 42, the design-services class (see our interior design entry), in addition to Class 37.
