Part of our complete guide: All 45 Nice Classification Classes Explained
Wedding and event planning services fall under Class 41, which covers education, entertainment, and the organisation of events, exhibitions, and similar activities.
Why full-service event companies often need more than one class
Class 41 covers the planning and organisation function itself — coordinating vendors, designing the event, managing logistics on the day. But many wedding and event businesses bundle in services that fall outside Class 41:
- Catering, provided directly by the business rather than outsourced, falls under Class 43 alongside restaurant and food-service businesses.
- Venue rental, if the company owns or operates the event space itself, can shade into Class 43 (for food and temporary accommodation venues) or Class 36 (for property/real estate leasing), depending on what's actually being offered.
- Décor, floral, and design products sold as physical goods rather than as part of the planning service could touch product classes separately.
A wedding planning company that also runs an in-house catering team and owns a banquet venue may need Class 41, Class 43, and potentially a real-estate-adjacent class, all under the same brand.
